Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 June 2026 · Private preview

OverGuardian ("we", "us") is an Australian software project in private preview. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we don't do with it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. What we collect

  • Waitlist: your email, role (driver / fleet), state, and basic UTM/referrer info.
  • Vehicle configurations: stored only in your browser (localStorage). We never see them.
  • Trip log (Live Guardian): stored only on your device. Default retention 90 days, adjustable in Settings.
  • Location: read live from the browser for routing and Guardian. Never transmitted to us; sent to Google only to compute routes.

2. What we don't collect

  • No tracking pixels, no ad networks, no third-party analytics in the driver app.
  • No selling or sharing of personal data, ever.
  • No background location collection. The app only reads GPS while you have Guardian or routing open.

3. Third parties

  • Google Maps Platform — route geocoding & directions. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on the waitlist form.
  • Lovable Cloud (Supabase) — stores waitlist signups only. Hosted in Australia/EU regions where possible.

4. Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your waitlist record by emailing hello@overguardian.app. We respond within 30 days.

5. Changes

We'll post any change on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes (e.g. introducing analytics) will be emailed to waitlist subscribers first.

This document is a plain-English summary written by the OverGuardian team, not legal advice. We'll have a lawyer review it before public launch.
